A quick trip to the Chilliwack Sunflower Festival with viola in tow makes for a productive photoshoot. I think Iād forgotten how much fun these are to do.
Sometimes it's way to easy to get stuck in a rut and to feel like you're not going anywhere. On days like this I remind myself that there are many things, even in my own town, that I have yet to see.
Not only did I have the privilege of shooting these two lovely souls on the beach one afternoon, but we managed to plan it so that the shoot landed on the only sunny day of the whole week!

Recently I had the pleasure of running around the butterfly gardens in Victoria, camera in hand. I went in with my telephoto lens, but had to quickly swap that out for my regular one when I realised the butterflies were wonderfully close.
Autumn is simply my favourite season to photograph, hands down. Thus, when given the oppertunity to have a session with my lovely friend, I would have been a fool to pass it by.
My first trip to the West Coast of Vancouver Island, to see the unobstructed ocean horizon for the first time, took me through the majestic Cathedral Grove, a place of such overpowering, towering giants that it takes the breath away.
